Our flagship store on Ossington Avenue is a space designed to unite the Toronto community and embrace creativity. We’re a home for clothing, culture, and connection. We’re looking for someone who is passionate about responsible fashion, thrives in a small team environment and is eager to shape the retail experience at Uncle. This role will act as the key liaison between our internal team and the retail staff. This a full-time in person role.
Team Leadership
- Hire, train, and manage sales associates
- Motivate the team to achieve sales targets and deliver exceptional service
- Act as liaison between the store team and internal team
Sales & Performance
- Track daily, weekly, and monthly sales
- Set goals, monitor KPIs, and identify opportunities for growth
Scheduling & Workforce Management
- Build and manage team schedules based on traffic and business needs
- Coach staff on service, selling, and daily task execution
Store Operations
- Oversee daily store activities including inventory, merchandising, and upkeep
- Lead opening and closing procedures
- Set the standards for the sales associates: cleaning, steaming, folding, and shipping orders from our in house warehouse
Must-Haves
- 3+ years experience in fashion retail
- 1+ year in a leadership role (store manager)
- Strong grasp of sales goals, KPIs, and team performance
- Confident communicator and problem-solver
- Available for a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
- Comfortable lifting up to 35 lbs
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience opening a retail store
- Experience running in-store events and activations
- Experience executing content for social media
- Passion for responsible fashion and community-based retail
The pays $22 an hour, based on a 40-hour work week.
