STORE MANAGER

Our flagship store on Ossington Avenue is a space designed to unite the Toronto community and embrace creativity. We’re a home for clothing, culture, and connection. We’re looking for someone who is passionate about responsible fashion, thrives in a small team environment and is eager to shape the retail experience at Uncle. This role will act as the key liaison between our internal team and the retail staff. This a full-time in person role.

Team Leadership

  • Hire, train, and manage sales associates
  • Motivate the team to achieve sales targets and deliver exceptional service
  • Act as liaison between the store team and internal team

Sales & Performance

  • Track daily, weekly, and monthly sales
  • Set goals, monitor KPIs, and identify opportunities for growth

Scheduling & Workforce Management

  • Build and manage team schedules based on traffic and business needs
  • Coach staff on service, selling, and daily task execution

Store Operations

  • Oversee daily store activities including inventory, merchandising, and upkeep
  • Lead opening and closing procedures
  • Set the standards for the sales associates: cleaning, steaming, folding, and shipping orders from our in house warehouse

Must-Haves

  • 3+ years experience in fashion retail
  • 1+ year in a leadership role (store manager)
  • Strong grasp of sales goals, KPIs, and team performance
  • Confident communicator and problem-solver
  • Available for a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
  • Comfortable lifting up to 35 lbs

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience opening a retail store
  • Experience running in-store events and activations
  • Experience executing content for social media
  • Passion for responsible fashion and community-based retail

The pays $22 an hour, based on a 40-hour work week.
